Tags: bloggingSo for quite some time now I have been talking with Mr. Lockergnome himself about writing for his new Nexus project. I actually wrote a few articles back in the day for Lockergnome but did not have the cycles to really commit to it. Well now that I am the boss-o-me, having started
I now have the luxury of choosing my projects beyond the work I am doing for my clients. So I have been itching to start writing about the Social Media space and felt that this might be a good way to channel some information about the changing face of the web. I chose to call the blog over on Nexus Web Manual 2.0
“You may have heard the term web 2.0 before. Some consider it a buzz word while others see it as a definition of current iteration of the Internet’s evolution. The term is perhaps a bit underestimating the scope of the change in development methodologies when it comes to creating web sites today. The implication of 2.0 references the versioning of software that we are all used to at this point however to paraphrase Eric Rice “If it takes you 10 years to get to version 2.0 of your software you are so fired!”
This was the first paragraph of my initial post over on the Nexus and I am really jazzed about it. Between this blog my writing over on Nexus and the fact my day job is as a Social Media consultant/developer I have taken the plunge and immersed myself into this space completely. You will start to notice quite a few changes to this site and the others that I work on in 2007, lots of new development in the works as well as some interesting projects that I am going to get to work on. So drop the feed for Web Manual 2.0 in your feed reader as well — http://feed.lockergnome.com/nexus/webmanual and come along for the ride.
I want to thank Chris for helping me get that set up, even with all his wedding plans etc. he found the time. What a great guy! Congrats to Chris and Ponzi as well on their nuptials and may you forever be happy and prosperous. Happy Holidays everyone and I hope Santa is good to you all.
