Some Kind Words About Yours Truly

January 28th, 2007 by Johnny

I said, well, I’d like to learn to podcast, and no sooner had I, than John Anthony Hartman tossed me his card. I can’t even remember all the things he mentioned he’s been part of in the evolution that is New Media, but suffice to say, this is like having Dr. J teach me how to play b-ball.

Quality is good and player interface is limited but adiquit for 70% of viewers. I want chapters more fine grain control over timeline but hey on demand via the web for no more than I am allready paying for my Netflix. I got a late or very early Xmas gift tonight.

Now if we could just get everyone to play nice so I could buy and downlaod an HD version and place it in my iTunes library.

Just watched Scoble’s video Interview with Gates as well as the one with Edwards

January 7th, 2007 by Johnny

I just finished watching Robert Scobles video of the interview with Bill Gates at CES it was a nice round table session with the group. Lots of good questions and Gates really seemed to get passionate when he started talking about parallelism and software code, watch how animated he becomes.

Proir to watching that I checked out his interview with John Edwards and I am more and more impressed with him. He was great at Gnomedex last year and in the interview talks about transparancy and bursting the bubble that gets put around candidates and the President, ala the secret service, I wonder what conversation with Michael Chertoff is going to be like…. Ok Mike I will only let the bloggers in when the threat level is below yellow but you have to keep republicans out if it above yellow.

A wonderful and anxious night

January 7th, 2007 by Johnny

So as a parent I have done all the baby proofing of for our home. However tonight we went to a dinner party with some good friends who have a collage age boy and thus have tons of breakable and non child friendly variables. It is quite some hawk like hovering to making sure an active 15 month old does not break taste or hide the many fragile things that abound. It was a wonderful Pakistani dinner and it was great to be with a group of friends for the night. However after chasing that boy all night I feel like I have run a marathon. It is truly amazing how fast and cunning a one year old can be. I truly appreciated a moment when, since my wife was driving home I got to enjoy a snifter of Cognac and a wonderful piece of key lime pie. Oh the small joys from a moment of relaxation, its too bad I gave up the stogies or I could have topped it all off with a good cigar.
