Apple iPhone as a Monitor for Video

April 21st, 2007 by Johnny

Just asked Scoble at Podcast Hotel if he had heard rumor about iPhone possibly being used as a wireless video monitor. The buzz I heard was around the possibility for the iphone as a monitor where a director could watch the filming on his wireless monitor (iPhone) while running lines with the actors. The sense I got was that working with the Final Cut Server this might allow integration of GREAT apple products. Please!! Please!! tell me this is not just a rumor.

FACT OR CRAP?????

IMB in 3D, Now Where Did Put My Glasses

April 12th, 2007 by Johnny

Yet another technological break through that is extending Moore’s Law. Laboratories around the world are so far ahead of the consumer space it is scary. Are you ready for 1TB processors with a 1 PB hard drive of holographic memory on your optical motherboard with a SHDTV Voxel Display. As Jeffery Harrow says “Don’t Blink” —

IBM Extends Moore’s Law to the Third Dimension

IBM today announced a breakthrough chip-stacking technology in a manufacturing environment that paves the way for three-dimensional chips that will extend Moore’s Law beyond its expected limits. The technology – called “through-silicon vias” — allows different chip components to be packaged much closer together for faster, smaller, and lower-power systems.

Spam of the BEAST!!

April 10th, 2007 by Johnny

Well I opened my Gmail account today and was greeted by Satan in my Spam box. That is right Devil Spam.

This got me thinking what sort of Spam would the prince of darkness send.

Subject: Win a fiddle made of gold

Subject: Free Apples

Subject: Do as thou wilt shall be the whole of the law!

Subject:  Love to BBQ?

Subject: Meet Adolph Hitler, Idi Amin, Joseph Stalin and many more

Do you have any thoughts on what spam from the devil would say?

Podcast Hotel 3

April 5th, 2007 by Johnny

So I have been crazy busy and I have not been very diligent on keeping up with my writing as well as other things and I just got off the phone with Mr. Rice and he reminded me of how important it is to do it all. To paraphrase — “you have to do the business stuff, create the media and keep up with the blogging, you have to do it all.” To that end I kick my own butt and made a bit of time to crank out this post.

So the BIG news is Podcast Hotel 3 is right around the corner in San Francisco April 20th-21st 2007 at the Swedish American Hall. I just got done with some site reworks and we are starting to beat the drum. We have some amazing people lined up and a few tentatives that are

  • Almost a household name
  • A Rock and Roll STUD
  • A really hot band – 99%
  • A Grammy award winner

Who I can say will be in attendance

Andrew Baron, Founder, Rocketboom
Nate Pagel, Founder, PoDaddies
John Anthony Hartman, co-founder Feedia
Chris Pirillo, Founder, Lockergnome and the Gnomedex conference series
Ian Beale, Project Opus
Kris Krug, president Bryght
Corey Denis, Digital Marketing Manager, IODA
Dean Hudson, new media, technologist, SubPop and owner, ERO
Lydia Popovich, Quannum Records
Eric Rice, Hipcast
Schlomo Rabinowitz, Vloggercon/CNET
Mark Boone Jr., Hollywood actor, producer, director
Mary Hodder, chief executive officer, Dabble
Irina Slutsky, Podtech
Ben Metcalf, http://benmetcalfe.com/
Jonathan Cobb, Founder, Kiptronic
Rusty Hodge, soma.fm
Eddie Codel, PodTech and Geek Entertainment TV
Adriana Gascoigne, bub.blicio.us
Samantha Murphy, SMtv
Rod Pitman of 7thscreen

I also just talked to Scoble who said he was coming. I am really hoping all three Scoble’s can come. Robert, Maryam and the bun in the oven, well Patrick can come too if he wants.

One a personal note my wife is coming along as well so she will finally get to meet a lot of people I talk about all the time.

See you in San Francisco!
