Well I had a major melt down almost 2 weeks ago of my brand new external Rocstor Hard Drive. This is of course where the almost done Alpha Geek TV show lived. I can not copy anything of any size off of the drive and have preformed endless utility repairs to both the local drive, everything other than this drive works like a champ, as well as on the Rocstor. All I get is messages saying it has no problems but I try and copy files off and it locks up! The only way to recover is to HARD shut down the mac of turn off the ROCSTOR. AGHHHHHHHHHHH! I will produce this show if it kills me, going back to tape stock to dump, we now have two other shows in the queue ready to be produced so I need to put “show” one to bed.
Oh yea I also just got hired for a crazy 24 hour turn time on some video so I will have to clear the decks on Friday, but I will make this go. On another note I love Motion 3 and have been putting together my show templates while waiting for files to copy/NOT copy. So my birthday present to myself to day is to GET IT DONE! Say a little prayer.

Oh my poor neglected red-headed step blog. You who were with me in the beginning even if not under this domain. I am so lost in the dizzying multitudes of items on my plate and then I want to spend time with my little boy and family and I put all frivolities aside. I can say this that while the pen’s ink may be dry the well is full of inspiration and some times aches to get out. My lost art of personal conversation is so in need of a little love and attention and so on a night when I should be asleep or working on something else however the mental minutia that I need to exert here is to great and I must unleash the words.
So many things have happened that I wish I had had time to share with you all. Evolution of my company into non-enterprise server sideish directions, more metaverse and production projects. A cadre of NDA’s keep me at bay as well from sharing some truly awesome projects that have come my way. My evolution into a full time Mac user and my love for this platform. My digging deep into Motion and Final Cut Pro. The joys of a producer and the unexpected events that shape the flow of crafting a story. Agh yes hypocrisy is a funny thing and the inadvertent mistake that garnered a harsh gaze but what should I come across while feeding programing in from old events a pot calling kettle black moment that made me realize that people are going to be supportive and people are going to be detracting but in the end you follow your heart not letting the detractors slow you down.
It is a disconnect from many of my friends out in the -o-shpere that I felt I was supplementing with things like Twitter and Facebook and yet writing this I know it will more than likely be more effective in a shot gun sort of way sending out my mental vibes than some little twitering that might caught. I am so intrenched in the social media aspects that the shear volume of items to track down and investigate seems to have killed the blogging I at least try and do and my feed reading is a black berry thing these days because when I sit in front of my computer it is all work and e-mail. OH GOD e-mail I sometimes think it was the worst thing we could do with technology. So many lost conversations, waste time writing up some e-mail only to talk to them on the phone and have them go “Oh I cant seem to find that can you resend it” To then waist more time finding it and resending to wait for yet another round of can you find the thread of conversation in our massive SPAM holes.
Well the clock tells me that I am not long for the world of the sleeping and I must get some other things done. Oh Little Lost Blog I missed you.
