Well I jumped in and did it. Leopard showed up Friday afternoon, once my wife got home to take care of our sick little one I was on a mission. I started off in the after noon running SuperDuper! and backing up Tiger on my Macbook Pro. As soon as I was able to sit down at the desk I took care of some pressing client matters after I finished that up I dove into the Leopard. I am really liking it, cover flow rocks and a ton of other great features, more on that after spending more time with it. One of the issues I have seen is with the networking but again I will look into it more and write about that later.
I felt it was time for a fresh look for this site was in order and with all the other projects I am working on I thought I would lay it all out in black and white.
Hope you like the new look and I will try to keep a more consistent pace on the writing.

So I recently exchanged some e-mails with some one and they said they guessed I must be busy because I am not blogging here on my personal blog. Oh God they were so right! Between production for Alpha Geek TV the work that needs to be done for my clients, biz dev, production and the copious other things that go into running a company as well as the numerous other projects that have been on the table I have had to really stop and clear the decks. I have determined that it is ALL about time management. So if you call and I say no it has nothing to do with the amazing project, conference, party, event or whatever your call is about it is ALL about time management.
I have been burning myself out in major way. This blog was the first of many casualties over the last six months and it is time that I address these issues in a public forum. So to that end I am going to use my blog not only as a tool for me to try and write my way through the order and focus of my life but as a way to let others whom work and play with me to understand where I am at. My family is the center and everything from time management stand point radiates out from that. That is not to say that I am relegating my company or business to a second class citizen status, on the contrary it is an integral part of my existence and you will often find me working until 2-3 am, to my wife’s dismay but this is after a break to spend some quality time with my little boy and wife.
The family business balance is one of my strong points I think and I have learned how to take a break from work for a family time window and then return to the project/work after. My problem is the over commitment to things that I think are great possibilities but may not have the $ to back them up. So I am setting aside some time to blog and using that time in a work flow management aspect as well.
It is time to manage this set of time and move on to other things.
